I was lucky to only get a sprained ankle. It was whiteout at that moment so I didn’t see it. Bad end to the day. Sven Svenhardt April 13, 2017 Reply I almost followed suit… but was able to yank my ski up and saw it coming seconds before we hit the high spot. Hope your ankle is better sooner than later so you get to enjoy the new snow. I think I saw you ski down to recover your ski though so I am hoping its not too bad. A snowboarder I rode with almost got taken out the next lift ride up… it was not good for sure and you certainly don’t expect that. Thanks for explaining why your ski was sticking out of the snow below you…. we couldn’t figure it out for the life of us that thought some patroller had taken your ski in a practical joke! Jeremy T April 13, 2017 Reply That wasn’t me. My ski stayed on, though my ankle might feel better if it hadn’t. I’m sure there were many people who suffered the same experience. Really odd that patrol didn’t make clearing that their first priority. Sven Svenhardt April 13, 2017 Reply Oh, wow, well there were at least two people who suffered some consequences then… shoot. Hope are are much better soon. I did tell the liftie at the top about the situation on my first run up and he said he would call patrol… I also am not sure how that didn’t get shoveled off somewhat other than I think the shuffling of lifts caught some folks by surprise… heal quickly in any event! Jeremy T April 13, 2017 Thanks, Sven. I’m hopeful to be back soon. Would be tragic to miss the great Spring we have in store. Sven Svenhardt April 13, 2017 Agreed and when you do come back… remember to keep those tips up… in every whiteout you come to, right?
